The Real Noni Energy Ampoule
A light, watery ampoule with noni fruit extract, neem, allantoin and adenosine, plus a little noni seed oil and plant oils, aimed at dull, tired and dehydrated skin.
Buyer verdictA pleasant hydrating ampoule for dull, dehydrated skin, and good value per ml in Seoul, where Olive Young sells a bigger 80ml bottle than Amazon. Don't expect a strong active: noni is under 1% of the formula. It contains a little rosemary oil.

What it is
Celimax is a Korean brand built around noni, a tropical fruit traditionally used in Pacific island medicine. The Real Noni Energy Ampoule is its best-known product, sold at Olive Young in an 80ml bottle, often with a 10ml bonus.
The Korean ingredient list starts with water and humectants (butylene glycol, propanediol, glycerin), then noni fruit extract at 0.7%. Next come a gel-former, allantoin, neem leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine and panthenol. Further down there’s noni seed oil (200 ppm), a small amount of rosemary leaf oil, mandarin peel extract and light plant oils (olive, macadamia, grape seed, jojoba).
Korea registers it as a functional cosmetic for wrinkle care.
Who it suits (and who should skip it)
Good pick if
- Your skin looks tired or dull and feels a bit dehydrated
- You want a light hydrating serum that layers under anything
- You like a slightly glowy finish without stickiness
Skip it if
- You want a strong active for dark spots, acne or wrinkles
- You react to essential oils such as rosemary
- Your skin is very dry and needs richer hydration
What the ingredients do
Noni is rich in antioxidants and is marketed for energy and glow. At 0.7% it’s a meaningful extract amount, but the evidence for noni in skincare is limited. Think of it as a pleasant supporting ingredient rather than the reason the ampoule works.
The real day-to-day effect comes from the humectants and sodium hyaluronate, which leave skin feeling plumper and smoother. Allantoin and panthenol keep it calm. Adenosine is a well-established, gentle ingredient for fine lines in Korean skincare.
The small amounts of plant oils stop the ampoule from feeling purely watery, without making it greasy.
How to use it
After cleansing and toner, spread a few drops evenly over the face, morning and night. Follow with moisturiser, and sunscreen in the morning.
It’s gentle enough to use alongside retinoids, acids or vitamin C. Apply the stronger active first, then this ampoule, then moisturiser.
How it compares
Numbuzin No.3 Skin Softening Serum is a ferment-based alternative for glow and smoothness. Ma:nyo Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule is the pick if you want a ferment-heavy, barrier-focused serum.
Is it worth buying in Seoul?
Yes, mainly because of size. Olive Young sells an 80ml bottle, while Amazon US and UK mostly list 50ml. Per ml, Seoul works out close to half the Amazon US price, and cheaper still against Amazon UK. Olive Young’s 10ml bonus isn’t counted in our price box.
One bottle clears the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum. At 80ml it fits carry-on liquids.
FAQ
How much noni is in it?
The Korean label lists noni fruit extract at 0.7% and noni seed oil at 200 ppm. The rest of the formula is mostly water and humectants.
Does it contain fragrance?
No added fragrance is listed, but there's a small amount of rosemary leaf oil.
Is it good for acne-prone skin?
It's light and has no heavy oils, so many acne-prone people use it. It isn't an acne treatment, though.
Why is it called a functional cosmetic?
It contains adenosine, which lets it carry a wrinkle-care claim in Korea.
