What to buy at Olive Young in Seoul: the biggest savings by category

Buy the products you already use, in the biggest pack Olive Young has on sale. In our October 2026 check that meant toners, essences, creams and Korean sunscreens, where savings of 40 to 60% against Amazon US were common.

Toners
Korean toners are where Seoul most often wins on size alone, because Korea gets the big bottles.
- Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner: 350ml in Korea vs 250ml abroad. About 45% less than Amazon US for the same amount.
- Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner: a mild, low-cost daily toner. About 44% less than Amazon US.
Essences and serums
- COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence: one of the largest gaps we found. About $10.64 in Seoul after the refund vs $28.88 on Amazon US with tax.
- Numbuzin No.3 Skin Softening Serum: about 39% less than Amazon US.
Creams and sleeping masks
- Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream: about $10.64 in Seoul vs $25.67 on Amazon US.
- Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: a bigger 70ml jar in Korea and about 60% less than Amazon US per ml.
Sunscreen
Korean sunscreens are some of the most-requested items, partly because some are hard to find in the same formula abroad.
- SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum: about 33% less than Amazon US.
- Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh: close to the US price but about 24% less than Amazon UK.
Check the product page for version notes: a few brands sell a different sunscreen formula in the US.
Cleansers and pads
- COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser: a very cheap item in Korea, about 65% less than Amazon US on sale. On its own it is under the ₩15,000 refund minimum, so add it to a bigger receipt.
- Medicube Zero Pore Pad: about 39% less than both Amazon US and UK.
Lip and makeup
Korean lip tints are inexpensive in both markets, so the saving per item is small in dollars. Peripera Ink the Velvet was about 29% less than Amazon US. Makeup is worth buying in Seoul mainly for shades and launches that are not sold abroad.
What to skip

How to shop a sale
- Time it if you can. Olive Young’s big seasonal sales and monthly brand promotions take 20 to 40% off. Prices on this site are the current Olive Young price, with the regular price crossed out when an item is on sale.
- Watch the “1+1” and bonus sets. A set that adds a travel-size mini is not the same as two full-size bottles. Work out the price of what you actually want.
