What it is

S.Nature is a Korean brand focused on short, gentle formulas, and Aqua Squalane Moisturizing Cream is its best-known product. Olive Young highlights it as Hwahae’s number one cream, after the ingredient-checking app popular in Korea. It comes in a 60ml jar.

The Korean ingredient list is short and transparent. After water comes squalane at 150,000 ppm (15%), then glycerin, betaine and panthenol. A long middle section lists nine forms of hyaluronic acid, along with hydrolyzed collagen, acetyl hexapeptide-8, adenosine, arginine, allantoin and a xylitol-based humectant complex. There’s no fragrance.

Korea registers it as a functional cosmetic for wrinkle care.

Who it suits (and who should skip it)

Good pick if

  • You want a fragrance-free cream that hydrates without feeling heavy
  • Your skin is combination: dry in places, shiny in others
  • You prefer short ingredient lists with stated amounts

Skip it if

  • Your skin is very dry, flaky or eczema-prone and needs ceramides and cholesterol
  • You want strong anti-ageing actives
  • You dislike any dewy finish

What the ingredients do

Squalane is a stable, lightweight oil that’s similar to squalene, part of skin’s own natural oils. It softens and helps stop water loss without the heavy feel of richer oils. At 15%, it’s a major part of the formula, which is why the cream feels nourishing despite its gel texture.

Glycerin, betaine and the hyaluronic acid forms pull water into the skin. Using several molecule sizes is a common way to give both surface plumpness and longer-lasting hydration. Panthenol and allantoin keep skin calm.

Adenosine is the ingredient behind the wrinkle-care registration. The peptide and hydrolyzed collagen are small extras rather than treatment-level actives.

How to use it

S.Nature’s directions are simple: after cleansing and your toner or essence, spread it over the face. Use it morning and night. In the morning, let it settle before sunscreen.

On dry winter nights, apply a second thin layer to dry areas, or layer a richer barrier cream on top.

How it compares

Torriden DIVE-IN Soothing Cream is lighter and more hyaluronic-focused, without much oil. Aestura Atobarrier 365 is the step up for truly dry or sensitive skin, with a full barrier-lipid system. Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream is the pick if you want a glowier, more anti-ageing-focused cream.

Is it worth buying in Seoul?

Yes. Olive Young sells the same 60ml jar as Amazon US and UK, and at the usual sale price Seoul works out close to 40% cheaper than both. Olive Young often adds a 30ml bonus, which our price box doesn’t count.

One jar clears the ₩15,000 tax refund minimum. A 60ml jar fits in carry-on liquids.

FAQ

Is it fragrance-free?

Yes. The Korean label lists no fragrance or essential oils.

Is it oily, given the squalane?

Not really. Squalane is a light, non-greasy oil, and the cream base is a water gel. Most combination skin finds it comfortable.

Is it rich enough for very dry skin?

It's richer than a gel moisturiser, but very dry or eczema-prone skin may want a barrier cream such as Aestura at night.

Why is it a functional cosmetic?

It contains adenosine, which lets it carry a wrinkle-care claim in Korea.
